It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia redesign
I love It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia so I decided to redesign Paddy’s Pub as if it were a set in an animated show. I made these big enough where I could zoom and pain for longer shots as well.
I wanted some continuity with the show’s outside set so I blocked in the whole area quickly in 3D coat to get the angles right. It also provided a good base for painting over. 3D Coat with quick shaders and viewport rendering is a great layout tool for backgrounds.
Let ‘Em Know You’re There
I was responsible for boarding and then creating 2D assets and backgrounds for animated flashback sequences in Readily Apparent Media’s Let ‘Em Know You’re There. I would work from my initial boards to create the final backgrounds and characters in Photoshop and hand them off to the animator to animate in After Effects.
A couple of other still backgrounds from the sequences. I took these from boards all the way through to the finished assets.
57 Degrees North
During this project I was responsible for creating an effective workflow to create a large number of assets for an interactive experience and then executing that workflow with a few other animators artists and programmers. I created a 2D toolkit of rocks and vegetation that I could use for all of the shots without making them feel too similar.
I would Generate the scenes of the Story Boards and Keep them in Separate layers so that the animators could create a Parallax effect to enhance depth in unity. The Layers would then be saved out into PNGs and dropped into Unity. In order to save time on painting, character models were made to be posed and painted over. This helped us stay on model and move quickly on our tight production schedule.

Organ City Anti-Smoking Campaign
Along with story boarding the TV spot, I was also responsible for creating 2d asset cards as PNGs and 2d backgrounds for the animators to use in the finished shot. I worked closely with the producer and director to make sure everything was implemented effectively.
Kings of Atlantis
After the initial concept phase of the first season of Kings of Atlantis, I was responsible for helping the production create various 2D assets and matte paintings. The director Tim Cunningham would explain his vision for the scene and I would work to help achieve that goal.

Mighty Coconuts Backgrounds and 2D Assets
I was responsible for creating 2D backgrounds and various props for the two Mighty Coconuts shorts. The assets were created in Photoshop and handed off to the animators for use.
